At CDS Plants, our orchid talks are all about sharing what we’ve learned from years of growing and exhibiting orchids at a high level, in a way that’s clear, practical, and easy to take away and use.

We tailor each talk to suit the audience, whether that’s a garden club, horticultural society, a group of more experienced growers or completely new to orchids. We cover all the essentials like watering, feeding, light, and repotting, and then move into more in-depth areas such as keeping plants healthy and getting them to flower reliably.

Where possible, we bring a selection of plants along to make things more hands-on. It gives people a chance to see exactly what we’re talking about and makes the whole experience more interactive.

Everything we share comes from real experience, what’s worked for us over the years, as well as what hasn’t. We keep things open and encourage questions throughout, and we’re always happy to help with specific plants or problems people might be having.

The aim is simple: to deliver talks that are informative but also approachable and genuinely useful, so people leave feeling more confident and inspired to grow orchids just like we do.
